Public Science and Technology
I’ve always been interested in issues that affect the public good. As a professional academic, I studied how people communicate in public about controversial issues in science and technology, such as global warming. The following article looks at how editors in Wikipedia make decisions about how to represent the issue of global warming in articles.

Intellectual Risk-Taking
As a teacher of writing, I was interested in how to support writers in not just achieving their goals, but in taking risks with their writing that would challenge them to learn, grow, and take chances. The following article reports research on how to define and understand intellectual risks in writing.

Creative Writing
In addition to professional academic and business writing, I write poems and creative nonfiction.
